I picked my CVA Wolf up at Walmart for $129 and that wasn't even on sale.I love it, itshots fantastic and it's a breeze to clean. The stock fiber optic sights are very good.

So tell me what you all think of the Lyman Mustang rifle?
It looks like a damn nice, well made rifle to me..Comes with
a scope if you want...Supposed to shoot even the lead
buffalo bullets with great accuracy...And I like the feel
of real wood as well...

Semisane can give you a run down on the Lyman Mustang... I never saw one let alone shot one.

Well,I think that is gonna be my new one...I may just get back into the
black powder game after all...I also would like to do some huntin with
my sharps rifle as well..Always afraid to take it in the wood though.
It has a pretty pricey set of target sights on it..45-70 cal..And I also have a
50-70 in a rollin block which I aint never shot yet..

PA has a early season when it aint so cold, and you can use a in-line then
the lae season after christmas is for flint locks only...In NY now I guess
you can use the in-line any time during the muzzleloader season which
I believe opens this monday...Bucks or doe;s is legal

Correct, I hunt in NY, having grown up 2 miles from the NY line in Elkland Pa. I use a ML diring regular firearms season, which is shotgun only, except this year when rifles were being tested/allowed. My brother has a camp in NY and he hunts ML there, you have to have two separate $110 licenses to hunt both regular and MLer. So I just do the regular. I aso hunt PA with a Flintlock, which is a lot of fun. I have a TC Flintlock in .50 cal. Chap Gleason
