RE: adequate scope for new ML
ORIGINAL: IndyHunter83 1 question for you. Why wait til next year if our firearms season doesn't start til november 17th and black powder doesn't start til I beleive december 8th? A. I haven't shot my gun yet and would need several trips to the range before I felt comfortable enough to take it into the field. B. I just moved here, don't know the area well yet, don't have any friends with land to hunt on, and haven't been able to scout out any of the public lands. Again, I would love to go, but I just don't feel like I have time to get all my ducks in a row before the season got here. (the real problem is the 80 hour work weeks I'm putting in) |

Hey Bullseye, I live in Indy, what part in Indiana are you in?

RE: adequate scope for new ML
My vote is forthe Bushnell Banner Dawn to Dusk, 3 X9, 40 MM objective lens. Really a good scope for the money and designed for muzzle loaders. I am completely satisfied with it.

RE: adequate scope for new ML
I have a TC Omega as well. First I had the 3x9 40mmNikon Pro Staff on it. Didnt like the shorter eye relief. Took it back and bought the Nikon Omega.........Longer eye relief, 5 inches. I like it alot better

RE: adequate scope for new ML
One of the best buys out there,is a Sightron Scope. They have a Mil-Dot 3x9x40 that is as clear as scopes costing twice as much. A lifetime No=BS Warrentee, and very fast service. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=958927&t=11082005

RE: adequate scope for new ML
I bought a 4 x 32 Simmons Shotgun scope with a diamond reticle at Walmart for 50 some bucks. It is great in lowlight and has a continuous 4 1/2" eye relief. It isa VERY good scope for the money. Actually in my opinion it compares to the lower end "high dollar" scopes, if not better! It has great optics and has the thumb screw adjustments for easy sighting. I honestly believe you can't go wrong this scope for the money.
