Oh and to through something else at you guys, Iam a bow hunter and we chase the arrow when sighting in, Its the oppsite with a scope? So if your shooting right- then you move the cross-hairs LEFT? Iam really Sorry to be such a pain, and ask some dumb Qustion, But once i got it iam good?

Yes, if you are shooting right - move the scopeshorizontal adjustment dialto the left. The turrets usually have an arrow to indicate direction whether up/down or left/right. Some have markings so tiny that old eyes have trouble seeing them.

DoubleHH, with the front sight bow gun what ever you chase the POI with the rear you go opposite, scope is the same as rear 95% of the time. Lee

I prefer rifles that will shoot sub-MOA groups, but 2-3 MOA will do fine in most cases. I figure if I shoot 2" from the bench I should be able to keep 'em in about 4" with a good rest or from a good stable shooting position. Take into account range estimation errors and other variables such as wind and that means anything within 5 yards or so is in danger. :D
Actually, if I can shoot 2" groups at 100 yardsfrom the bench I would feel pretty safe trying anything within 150 yards or so if I had a good shooting position and knew the load had plenty of energy to get the job done. With 3" groups I'd probably limit myself to 100 yards. If groups were over 3" @ 100 yards I'd look for a new load or a new gun.

and the Shockwaves at 175 yards (Dave couldn't locate a 200 yard tree, next one is at 220)

Lemoyne - I might try a bit more powder for my own use, but one of my purposes with this load is to have something that won't kick the kids too hard. I've got some grandsons that are justgetting interested and I don't want to start them with somethingthat has much recoil at all.

I made a tweak on that scope before going out, based on the last session results. Went a bit farther down than I intended and didn't go far enough right. Dern, I'll have to go try again! :D

Just after I got out to my bud's house, another fellow showed up with his son and granddaughter. They were trying to get her .243 sighted in and have her take a few shots with it. I liked her response to the first attempt - she turned around and said "AWESOME!". :) She was probably 13 or so and today was her first ever shooting with a centerfire.

Didn't mind one bit stepping aside for them to get her sighted inand ready to sit in a stand. Hope she gets a nice buck. But as a consequence of their being there, the only shots I got to fire were the nine pictured.

I'm thinking 2 clicks up, 6 clicks right, then 2 clicks left. :D

Those nine shots were certainly not enough to reach any conclusionscomparing the Shockwave to the XTPs so far as impact - but I think your experience of the XTPs hitting a bit lower is going to be exactly right. I was also a little impressed with the result at 175 as the first two shots were very close together and the third coincided with some gusts of wind. As I squeezed that third one off, the center target took a wild flutter. Think the wind might have played with thatbullet just a little.
