Well, I'm ready to sight in my Omega with 100 grs of Pryodex pellets, TC Super Mag 300 gr XTP sabots. I dont have access to a 100 yd range. So I'll be shooting at 50 yds. I was wondering how high at 50 yds the group should be to be "on" at 100 yards? Years ago when I had a Knight, the general rule was 1.5 inches highat 50 and didnt have any problems killing deer at 100 yds. But after doing alittlescearhing on here,I seem to be reading that guys are hitting 1 inch, some 2 inch high. Was wondering what the general rule was with 100 grs and 300 gr bullet? Thanks

The general rule still holds true for the most part.. 1-1/2 to 2 inches at 50 yards will normally put you on the bull at 100 yards. It is advised that if possible to at least check the rifle out at 100 yards. I have seen a bullet onat 50 yards makes some dramatic changes out at 100 yards. Good luck with your rifle.

Bake North, Just wondering..............were you using 300 gr bullets? Was thinking about gonig with 1.5 inches high myself. Seemed to work great years ago when I shot 300 grs out of a Knight

i would follow the ballistics chart and be .70 at 25 yrds. this will make it easier to get the tighter pattern and you won't have to do as much walking it will also be easier with the spoting scope. But remember if you do it at 25yrds with a 1/4 moa you will have to multiply the clicks by 4. IF you do it at 50 i believe it is 3 times the amout of clicks
