You take the high ones out and you have a decent 3 shot group. Same problem here.....I still will have 1 high first shot out of 4-5 shot group.

me too oldrookie. Shot the .45 3 times today, 1st 2nd shot measured 1" outside/outside and then the last shot was 1 1/2" high of the other 2 shots. Im happy as heck though lol. This was at 100 yards. Happy i took it out again because i noticed my trigger was a wee to stiff so i adjusted it.

the bullets were easy to load, they were the knew ez-load sabots. i was using a Burris 3.5-10x40 illuminated ballistic plex scope on burris rings and mount (redfield style).

That is an excellent group for open sights. If it was scoped, it was still decent, but not awesome.

It's more than adequate for deer hunting. That sounds like your goal so don't complain.

this is my 100yd group.
the rifle wasa Knight Master Hunter, 100gr (2 pellets) T7 mags, 245gr barnes SBT ex-load sabots, burris 3.5-10x40 illuminated ballistic plex scope on burris rings and mount (redfield style).
I don't think that this is all that good of a group. what do you guys think? should i expect more or is this normal? I'm used to centerfires and i've seen holes eatn out of the center of that target from another guy's gun. so i need opinions.

I believe 3" is acceptable for hunting, however to get real accuracy in a ML rifle your going to have to work the load by going up or down 5 or 10 grains (with loose powder), it makes a huge difference. Also sabots make a huge difference. If you want to stay with the two pellets, buy different types of sabots and try some tighter sabots, you want them to go down hard but not have to hammer them down. Tight sabots usually mean tight groups. If you wannna stay with that sabot and bullet, then try goingdown 5 grains of 777 loose to 95 grains. Some combination of sabot and powder charge will tighten your groups to 1.5 or 2". Some bullets will not shoot well in some guns, so you >>>may<<< be at the limit of capability with that bullet, you never know for sure. I tried 8 different bullets in my new Savage 10ML, here are the results:
http://www.the-gleasons.com/this_is_my_savage_10_ml_page.htm

Two bullets were excellent, the TC SW and the Parker BE, the others were 2" and 3" groups. So I am experimenting with the Parker right now.

No doubt if you tweeked it a bit you could shrink them but like it has been said before, you have no excuse if you miss a deer w/that. Just don't shoot farther than you feel comfortable.

That being said, if it was me and I liked the performace of that bullet then I'm leaving it alone.

Looks to me like that is a 2 1/2inch group. If so, I suspect that ispretty goodfor that gun/barrel/scope combination for a 5 shot group. Let's just say, you won't see many 5 shot groups at 100 under 2" posted here between now and Christmas...and that includes all the prep for deer season shooting that will be done. I'll say..Good Shooting.
