Can not put bolt back in Knight Disc extreme
1 Attachment(s)
I have a knight disc extreme rifle that I was cleaning the bolt on and now I can not put bolt back in the gun. I do not know which version I have. I can not see the pics posted on this thread to identify exactly which one I have.
I bought this gun used, and it came without a c-tool and without a manual. I'm guessing that I have the old style that requires a c-tool for bolt. My problem is I removed the bolt to clean and the bolt got turned. Now it is preventing me from putting it back in the gun. After reading previous post, it sounds that the bolt got turned because I did not use the c-tool, with I did not know about. It looks like the piece between safety screw and the stainless bolt needs to be turned about 1/4 turn clockwise (as viewed from back of rifle) to allow it to go back in the fifle. So the question now is: Is there a way that I may fix with basic tools? (i.e. vice, vice grips, 7/16" open end wrench, to turn the bolt back to allow it to be returned into the breech? Or do I need to send in to Knight to fix isssue? Any help appreciated. I'm new to forum so sorry I sound so clueless frisbeethrower is my forum name. |
You can't view the pics on this thread because of it's age and the pics that were posted have either been removed from their pic sharing site or timed out.
As far as your question, send a PM to either Semisane or 1874sharpshooter as they are probably the most up to date on the Knight rifles. Especially the older models. |
Compliments of Sabotloader
![]() Now if yours does not need the C tool, simply tighten the secondary safety in till the hammer assembly will turn inside the bolt housing. Then you will be able to line them up like this. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
