Tried Precision Bullet
I ordered up some QT Polymer Spitzers, 300gr. in .45cal. All I can say is the bullet shot fantastic. I was using the Hornady XTP in the 45cal. 300gr. They were good at 100yds. but shot about 6in. low at 125yds. The Precision bullets hit the bull at 50-100-125yds. but fell approx. 10in. at 150yds. I never get shots close to that around here, but I'm leaving for Iowa in a week and need that extra distance. Thanks to who ever it was that mentioned Precision Bullet on this site. RE: Tried Precision Bullet
The QT's are really nice because of their high BC. I shoot the 235 grain .40 sabot with 100 grains of Triple 7 and have found that when I'm zeroed at 100 yards I'm getting about 3-4" of drop at 150. They are also very effective on deer. I was amazed at the level of trauma from that "little" .40cal bullet. It looked like the deer inhaled a blender.
They are darn accurate too if you load them carefully with the supplied bullet pusher to prevent damage to the bullet.
I just took advantage of PR's latest sale and bought 250 QT's at $0.33/bullet after shipping, which is one heck of a deal compared to the $1.10/bullet retail in our local stores. This deal is a God-send since I have a habit of shooting 20-40 shots every time I go to the range (at least once a month or more).
Enjoy your new bullets, I'd bet you won't every use anything else.
