50 cal black power gun?

Personally I would get the T/C Omega because I like Thompson Center products. But any of those rifles mentioned will get the job done. It all depends on what you want to spend. Also it is my understanding there is a sale on the Winchester Apex at Cabela's right now.

Not a tough decision for me... I would without a thought go with the Omega. To many pluses versus the other guns. The Omega is a lifetime gun. Normally the barrel on the Omega will be a stronger barrel and have a more uniform bore because of button boring.
And I am not down grading the other two because they are CVA or because the barrels are extruded. There are a lot of people out there that are very happy with their CVA's even I am/was but in crunch time I'm taking the Omega to work.
thunter4558 let me speak for frontier ganderand FG if you do not agree come back on and make the corrections. FGhas had oustanding succes with his X-150 and is a firm believer in most CVA products. So I guessour votes cancel each others out...
No matter what you choose there will be +'s and -'s- you will end up deciding what +'s outweigh which -'s...
Good luck

Well to be honest, and i am not looking to start an argument over whats better and whats not. The only thing that sets me in the other direction is the synthetic stock on the omega and the deal with the barrels normally only being a sabot barrel. I hate answering these questions anymore due to everything always blowing up. But the tubbawear stock and the sabot barrels have always turned me away. Just buy what you like. I personally cant find a tc that will shoulder comfortable without me pressing my cheek hard into the stock. These like this will be the deciding factor.

Neither of those go buy a White. If you cant find one then buy which ever one of those three you would like. But let me give you some free advice that will help every black powder shooter and hunter. If you dont own the White or cant find one at least look at a picture of one for 5 minutes before you shoot one of those less of a muzzleloaders it will improve your abilitys alot.Just kidding. I would go with the Apex I like the stock better and as I have said in the past mine shoots both conicals and sabots very well.

And again trying to avoid any blow-ups.... Not all Omega's are synthetic stocks... but even then if you like sysnthetic, which I do, for several reasons it is an acceptavle tool. Not all Omega's will apparently shoot conicals well - that one I can not tell you for sure because I have never shot any from mine - although a PB is really a conical and I know a lot of people that shoot PB's from their Omega.
Last point - I wonder about buying an Omega with the Triumph just around the corner. The Triumph issuppose to have some real advantageous and the price is not that bat at all.
It might just really go back to which one fits you the best... and makes you feel good.
