Underclocked,
That's a sweet looking rifle. Too bad the stock is the wrong hand Was it a custom stock?

Sabotloader,
Is that pad availble in different heights and where is it available? Thanks

HuntAway

Yes there are different thicknesses, 1/4" is the thickest and it is perfect for on the Omega and my white.. I even put a palm swell on the White

I bought mine at Sportsman Warehouse, but Brownels also has them... I think the Cheekeeze brand from D&E has a better adhesive on them than does Cheek-eeze made by Kick-eeze

I've got a cva optima elite with a stainless fluted barrel and thumbholse stock.... The main reason I bought this gun is because of the exchangeable barrels and it is cheaper than the encore. I have been very happy with the gun, but as others said, you won't go wrong with any of those.

Ya the Omega does have a small trigger guard for us with big hands & fingers.
Do a search on this forum about this same time last year when a bunch of Omega owners not happy with the guard were trying to figure a way to make them bigger.
If I wanted a T/C I would hold off a bit longer and look at the Trumph plain and simple.

None of the above, if you get a gun like that, why not just get a 12 ga. 500 mossburg or any modern gun.. black powder is flint and PRB..JMO

1. 12 ga. will probably cost more.
2. 12ga. will not shoot accurately at longer distances even with slugs.
3. In most states using a black powder (yes, even an inline) will let you hunt the standard gun season and the ML season. So you get to stay in the woods longer.
4. MLing is much more fun.

Which gun would you buy
1. winchester apex magnum 209 5o cal
2. cva pro optima break action 209 50 cal
3. tompson center omega 209 50 cal
Those the only choices? TC is far and away better than the other two clunkers you mentioned!
