I cannot get the search function to work at all. What am I doing or not doing? To me the "search" function is a very useful tool.

You too I haven't been able to use it for a long rime now. When I try it tells me that my search needs to be refined or there is indeed no matches. Tried to contact mods but it got no where, so I am stuck asking repetitive questions.

use one word to search when possible. If you know the poster name exactly, add that. Be sure to mark the forum you want like Black Powder, and in the Time Filterrequirement part in the box to the far right where it says "all topics with a down arrow there to select sometihng, give it a 1 year search period. It will then find every post with that word in it.

Dave nailed it here. You didn't use to have to specify a "time", now you do.

It works for me. Search Goex and see what comes up. You might be searching something with no results. Just search Goex for a test. I just did it and it worked.

That worked,had to specified a time instead of all topics. Thanks.
