Well I found one and I'm buying it Thursday from a guy here in Utah. I'm paying him 225.00 for the rifle. It seems to be in really good condition but I will find out on Thursday. What are your guys opinion on this rifle? I love my Ultra Mags and I hope this one is every bit good as the UM's. Lets hear the good and bad about this rifle.

The word is ... there was never a White Lightening that was made that was not accurate. Everyone that owns them normally will not part with them and love them. I think you will be of the same opinion as well. It sounds like you found an excellent deal.

Thanks cayugad I'm hoping that my 14 year old daughter will be able to shoot this rifle since it has a shorter barrel and is a little lighter than my UM's. I love the conicals as much as anybody but I'm thinking of trying the 250 or 300 grn XTP's with about 80-90grns of pyro RS to start out with. What do you think about this? How hard do you think it will be for me to get any parts for this rifle?

Bdeather I really think you should start you daughter out with the 620gr bullshops and about 110 gr. of loose powder ha ha. Or better yet we will have her shoot the 300 gr. xtp and then you can shoot the 620 Ill catch the rifle when it throws you on your butt I promise. Really though why not just order some 400gr. bullshops and load down the powder some. But u know alot more about MZ than I do.

you will have to see what the rifle likes. My Ultra Mag shoots sabots very well. Or you could load 70 grains and a 460 grain, although the recoil might be bad. Perhaps a sabot and a light powder charge might be the way to go.. good luck with the rifle.

savagescout I dont know more about them than you do I just have more of a passion about them at this time. That will come with time. Since your full of good ideas how about this one I know where this nice Ultra Mag is that is ready to be picked up and its almost payed for I can always use another one. ha ha

Dang bdeather, I wish I had found that deal on the Lightning and you had a feather in your ear, we'd both be tickled.

And savagescout, I have shot a few of the 620 gr Bullshops with 100 gr of 777 2f, Sabotloader is my witness. Proves who the man on the board is. Actually, it wasn't as bad as I thought. That was after quitea few 460 gr Bullshops with 120 gr of 777.

cascadedad how are those UM's treating you? I just got another 500 of the 460grns from bullshop. One ofthese days I need to try out the 500 grainers. You think that Lightning will shoot the XTP's very good?

My lightenings are rapidly becoming my favorites.
Have her try the 460's with 55 to 60 grns - should shoot great and drop the punch a bit.
