The TC Encore brakes down like a shotgun. But just to access the primer pocket and to remove the breech plug. From what I here they are very accurate with a 25" barrel and a 1 in 28" twist.

You gotta be talking about the thompson center encore. It breaks down like a shotgun to put your primer in. I have two thompson center encores. One that was the first year they made them its never miss fired once and killed a deer at 234 yards. ANd then mine never miss fired once and killed a deer at 134 yards. THey are very accurate and if u are looking for a mizzleloader that is what u need. They are costly but well worth the money. GOod luck.

Or maybe an NEF (H&R) HandiRifle? Or a MDM Buckwacka? Would like to get one of those little NEF models but have yet to actually see one.

"Got a friend that has a H&R Handi Rifle in .50 caliber and despite the fact that it's only $118.00....it's one GREAT SHOOTER! I have watched my buddy shoot measured 2" 3 shot groups from 200 yards at least 5 times today and those that frown on this little rifle......just "ain't" been exposed to one yet! THEY....named it right! Only problem is.....the rifle isn't to be found!! None available right now!"
