I finally broke down and bought myself a Christmas present. I've been going to do it for 6 months or more but now it's on it's way.

Earlier this year I bought a Lyman GPR 54 with the intent of adding a 50 GPH barrel to it for a nice combo.I didn't have the money to order the extra barrel until recently and had to wait till after the Christmas bill was totaled to order it. Well, I had enough after the kids stuff was bought and I just went ahead and ordered it from Midsouth the end of last week. I also ordered a #17 front sight for it to complement the 57 peep I already have on the gun. I hope to develop some nice conical loads for this barrel and use the 54 for round ball.

If everything goes as planned I should have the new stuff by this weekend. Christmas all over again.

My package arrived this afternoon, unfortunately it arrived after I left for work and I won't be home till in the morning to check it out. The UPS driver must be scared of snow though, he left it at the front gate and the only reason my wife found it was because I checked the tracking number and it said it was delivered this afternoon. We have rain and freezing rain in the forcast for tonight and tomorrow so I'm glad I checked. As it was he left it in the snow and the temp was above freezing and the box got wet where it was sitting on the ground. I had my son open the box to verify it had not soaked through, it hadn't yet.

Now's the hard part, I have to wait until tomorrow to see my new toys. Why couldn't I have been born independently wealthy and not have to work? Oh yea, then I wouldn't enjoy the toysas much. Now if I can just get some time to go to the range.
