Is that the ballistics program from the Barnes Gold club? I was checking that out a few weeks ago, looks pretty cool. Are you doing the trial or did you get the program? I was wondering if the fee is good forever or do you need to renew it each year? I bought the program.... It has been a one fee for me so far.. - I have had it for several years and have downloaded 2 or 3 upgrades... mike |

I am not sure of the exact trajectory but I can center the 18 inch gong by aiming just below the top edge of it on a windless day @ 240 yds which I though was pretty decant for a muzzle loader. The buck I busted with it a while back never took a single step of course he was only 30yds away. Lee

I hate to put what I get out of my Omega because my Chrony is one of the very early ones and I don't trust it 100% but is any one else getting over 2450 fps? And how would this compare to a 250 grSW at 2150? I do not have a chart worked up fora 250 @ 2150.. would you want one put up? |

Lee, I would be interested in how 150 grains of pellets chronys with the 200 SW as opposed to 150 grains RS. Do you know?

sabotloader, Actually I am more interested in the 200gr at 2480 which is about an average with my old Chrony I was so impressed at the job they did on that deer this year that I am thinking I will proably use either the 200gr XTP or the 200gr SW for Boar and Bear as well as deer. I was just looking at yor charts and trying to figure what a comparison would be like. That 200 XTP is wicked out to 150 yds. Lee

Pglasgow, Well like I said my Chrony is very old, but to answer your question the average show up as 70 to 80 fps faster and I really don't understand why that should be but the high low is narrower to so?? maybe I need a new Chrony. Lee

sabotloader, I use and intend to keep using both but the one I will load when I know it might be a big animal or long range will be the SW. And Thanksfor all the neat things you do for us and the help. Lee

Lee You know I thought something was wrong with my chrony when I first got it. I had wide variations in velocities also with RS and P. On some loads as much as 100 fps. But with 3fblackpowder they generally settle in with only +-10 fps. Its very amazing and itjust tells me that the subs are going to vary a little in velocity. Even so, at 2400 fps, the effects are not very noticeable as evidenced by the one hole groups you described. |

PglasgowSorry I should have been more accurate, the losse averages 2483 +- 65 fps the pellets average 2546 +- 48 fps. Lee
