Not wanting to spend an arm and a leg. Are shotgun scopes "okay" for the ML? Or, is there too much shock from the ML for a shotgun scope?
Cabela's has a Pine Ridge scope for about $80.
Any suggestions? It's going on a camo t/c omega.
Also, does anyone use red-dot scopes on the ML?

Go with the 2-7x32mm Nikon Pro Staff in camo. Cabela's has one of them for around $149.00. While it is a little more expensive then the one you mention, you will be very happy that you spent the money. This is a quality scope that will do it all. It is parallax free out to 75 yards and the optics are excellent.

Do go better than the Pine Ridge, and the Nikon is a good choice, but I would think you would be getting a better value and a more versitile scope by getting a 3x9x40 - they are the more popular right now and with your Omega you might want that little extra reach that scope would allow you to have.
I think Nikon also makes one called an Omega (expensive)scope, I think it comes in camo, that is suppose to be the rage right now...
I would really suggest to you if you purchased an Omega ML get a better than average scope for it even if you have to wait a bit to get it. I didn't and it I believe it cost me a real nice buck this season in a low light situation.
Good luck in your search....
Try this place... they really have good prices...

Here is a Prostaff refurb - with a good price

Shoot right now it is out of stock - it will be back...

I'm really leaning towards the Nikon Pro Staff 3-9X40 Realtree Camo scope. The also have a 3-9X40 scope with the BDC Reticle for 159.99. Much less than the Omega scope.

I would highly recomend the Nikon Prostaff Team Realtree 3-9x40.. should run you right around $170.. and also a set of Advantage Burris Z rings.. they match those scopes almost exactly... and both will match the gun almost exactly.

lso, does anyone use red-dot scopes on the ML?[/quo i had one on my handgun and all you have to do is forget to turn it off one time and youll hate them. as far as parallax on a shotgun scope i think most today are 75 yards so i would be afraid to use one. as far as the camo scope you can also get a neoprene camo cover. it will protect the scope from scratchs and bumps a bit. like this http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...ooth&noImage=0
