I forgot what kind of gun you have butthat is a little strange... but then there are a lot of things I do not know...In the Omega mine get caught on the threads but eventually come out.
My suggestion would them be to push it out the muzzle. You have to use a small diameter rod so that you do not flare the the sabot (is it a sabot). Has the powder fell out? I use a 1/4" hardwood dowel, but yourange rod will work. Do not try it with the jag on though...
If it doesn't slide up easy pour some hat water from the muzzle down onto it wait a couple of minutes then push it out....
Just had another possible explaination, can you see the projectile at the top of the threads or is it up the barrel a bit... The reason I ask could it be stuck on the "crud ring' from the previous shot....????

try spraying some wd-40 down the bore and let it sit and then push. May have to push it back out the way you put it in. I once got a great plains bullet stuck due to crappy powder and had to use my spare ramrod and a rubber mallet to get it out.

Good that you got it out. A miss always sucks but hopefully you'll have better luck next time out there and get him. 5x5 mule deer or whitetail? I know the feeling of a cut wrist due to a sharp sight, happened to me a few times on my flintlock. A lot less painful than slamming your thumb in a door jam on a 59 chevy apache though
. Now all u have to do it give it a good cleaning.
