Default A great combination of components for deer

Last evening I had another opportunity to harvest a doe with my Omega muzzle loader. For the third time in three seasons the combination of the stainless Omega, 245 gr Powerbelt aero=Tips, three pellets of Triple Seven and a Nikon Shotgun scope did the job. Three deer died at ranges from 100-150 yards because the point of impact and the point of aim were the same.
I hunted deer for years with a old 50 caliber using patched round balls out of a Lyman Great Plains rifle. I hated to give up the tradition of using that old gun but if putting a deer in the freezer late in the season is your intention then I strongly recommend the above combination.
Yes, any firearm that delivers the bullet to its intended location will do the same. Bullet placement is key to succes and anyone who feels differently may just be wrong.

You have a freak Omega there.

Very few respond like that when using 3-pellets of Triple Se7en and short Powerbelt.

Congrats on your success with it.
