250 Shockwave Trajectory
Im new to the muzzleloading realm and I just purchased a T/C prohunter. I've shot several types of bullets through it with no better than 5 in groups at 100 yards. I just bought some 250 gr shockwaves and im gonna try 100, 130 and 150 grains of 777 pellets. Does anyone have any recommendations to make meshoot 1 in groupsat 100 yards? Also, does anyone know the trajectory of these loads? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

RE: 250 Shockwave Trajectory
I've read a lot of reports of people shooting 250 grain Shockwaves out of the Pro Hunter with excellent results. Whether it will shoot 1" groups is another thing. That's kind of expecting a lot in my book. But most are shooting 100 gr or two pellets and the Shockwave. They get 1835 fps and the Shockwave has a BC of .210 so hitting a ballistic calculator might give you a good indication of what the projectile will do...

RE: 250 Shockwave Trajectory
We have been playing with one it shoots right at 1 inch groups with a Pyrodex load of 120gr the friend that owns it insists on using 4 X 30 gr. pellets [which I consider a waste of money] we tried to find a load with 777 and APP FF but it did not seem to like them. Lee

RE: 250 Shockwave Trajectory
Shot her today and she liked what i fed her!! 150 gr. 777 pellets and the first two shots were in the exact same hole at 100 yards.....i mean i thought i had missed the target on the second shot and realized that the hole was about the size of a .50 cal bullet instead of a .45. I think ill stick with this combo for now and im gonna shoot at 200 yards next week.
