I have owned TC, Knight, Remington and Savage muzzleloader all have been good. The only one that I owned that wasn't any good was a Gonic, it shot fine but was porrly designed for cleaning!

I'd suggest looking at the Omega Z5, I have heard of places like walmart selling them for around 200 bucks. If you can't find that NEF, CVA or Traditions all make lower priced inlines. NEF is noted to be the better built of the 3 but many enjoy the others as well.

I currently own 3 inlines Rem. 700MLS, Knight Disc and Savage 10IIML, all 50 cals. All three shoot great and have harvested game.

Good Luck

The CVA Omega is a great gun, and fairly cheap. My dad got his for 260.00 at Gander Mountain. Traditions makes some good in-lines at an affordable price as well. Pay attention to the twist of the rifling. I wouldn't go with anything less than 1:28 twist.

I got my NEF sidekick for 160.00, it has a syntheic stock and stainless.
Shoots great with powerbelts 245 and 100 grains. Plus, it's made in the
USA...which isalways a plus for me.

I'd look at the cva wolf, i think cabelas has them for $139. Easy to clean, well made and u can shoot mag loads. Plus you dont have to spend another $12 on those primer cups that the knights/nef use.

catus i could have sworn that that muzzleloader was a TC Blackhawk, they look identical then, because TC used the same hammer mechanism as that one.

Irecommend the NEF Sidekick or any T/C or Knight. Stick with these top brands and you won't be disapointed. The NEF is by far the best gun for the money I think. Good luck

Traditions makes some nice starter kits, and they are affordable and reliable.
