Default 1st ML Buck

Well boys here he is sorry i waited so long to put up the pics but i have been busy hunting. He was shot opening day here in MI. I was just going in for lunch around 10:45 am I climbed out of my stand and started heading back to the truck. when i got about 10 ft from my truck i seen something out of the corner of my eye about 50 yrds away. i looked to see what it was and there he stood with another doe. i took aim and bang hit him he went about 10 yards and was down i hit him right where it counts. I shot him with my new CVA Wolf with 100 grains of 777 and powerbelt aero tip 245 grain bullets. Who said you need a $700.00 pro hunter.

congratulations of a fine buck... With a muzzleloader it just seems that much more special. Sounds like the bullet combination worked real good for you. Did you get complete pass through with that powerbelt? I have been asking this and taking a lot of notes from others experience since deer refuse to come to my testing site again this year...

Yes it went all the way thru it hit him behind his front shoulder and came out in front of his other shoulder close to his neck.

excellent shot.. exactly where I like to put them when possible. I would bet there was little left of the heart and lungs.. Also probably a massive wound channel. Again, congratulations and thanks for the info. I shoot the same projectile but with 90 grains of Goex 2f out of my CVA Staghorn with excellent accuracy.

Hey, way to go, dbc5150! Being a Michigander myself, I can tell you that's a great buck from this state. Not that they don't come bigger, but most die at a young age (that's ok in my book, 'cause they're more tender!).
Being in the right place at the right time is a whole lot more important than the brand name on your gun.
Congratulations!

great deer! Good reports on those powerbelts also, everytime i post about them i get the usual, in 1 ear and out the other. But i knew those 245's would get the job done! Awesome deer, looks like a 5x5?
