i will use pyro. pellets & hornady xpt mag 240 gr
is this a good place to start.thank you !

it sounds like you're all set. Two pellets and an XTP should get the job done. If they don't shoot as good as you want then you will have to look into some other projectiles. You might want to check some of the powerbelts.They shoot well out of my CVA..

Sounds like a good load to me as well that's about all I used for the first 5 or so years with my Encore until new powders and projectiles came out.

The 240gr XTP is what I started with and what I still use. I have tried many other fancier bullets and come back to the reliable XTP everytime. Also a heack of a lot cheaper (1-100 bullet box costs me about $18 last time I looked)
