Default Excellent Breech Plug Greese

I have used this greese the last two times I went to the range, it works great! Someone on this forum said they used it and that is the reason I tried it. It is Slick 50 ONE GREESE. The plug comes out nearly as easy as it goes in. I have tried three different brands of breech plug greese plus industrial Anti-Sieze and none of them compare to the Slick 50. I was shooting heavy charges of 777 with my Omega.

Yep, I've used it for over 2 years now. It's great stuff. Ran 18 rounds through the muzzleloader the other day at the range. I got home and the breechplug came out at easy as it went in. The best thing is thatyou get a huge tube of it forjust a few bucks.

The first time I used it I shot nearly 40 times and the plug wasn't the least bit hard to get out. The second time I used it I only shot 12 times but the same results. Can't beat the price and function. If you are the original poster on using Slick 50 thanks for the info.

Hey you guys are welcome, glad I could help.

Well, actually, maybe I wasn't the one who suggested it. I think UC was the first one I heard it from. And I agree, it works excellent.

I have a tube of Slick 50 one grease to use once I run out of the CVA Slick Breech Plug and Nipple Grease. CVA changed their product a while back and I am not happy with it. Granted it has had no problems with breech plugs sticking, but it is more watery in consistancy and I dislike the mess...

Lee- I have used the nickel anti seize before. The only problem I have with it is the mess. You get that stuff on your fingers and it is such a pain to get all of it off. And no matter how careful I am, it seems if there is something to get messed up with, I will do it...

I tried some of the screw-in choke tube lubes once - they appear to be similar to the nickel anti seize grease. Picked up a tube of Slick 50 One Grease this afternoon. Plan to try it soon. Roskoe

I bought some online and then found at Walmart. Did not find it at any automotive stores in my area.Online is WAY more expensive than Walmart.
