Default FFFG Triple 7

Went out to a new gun shop today to look and see if they had anything interesting. While I was looking around, I came across a few containers of FFFG Triple 7. I never knew they even produced Triple 7 in FFFG. I know the finer grain powder works well in the smaller calibers, but would there be any advantage, or disadvantage,to using it in a 50 caliber? The owner had a real good price marked on it, much better than the FFG Triple 7 at wally world, that's why I'm curious.

I use it in my inlines when shooting conicals. It seems to get them moving faster. There really is not a great increase in performance between the FFg & FFFg but its a nice powder anyway.

I may just go back and pick some up to play with. This place had it marked $7 less than what Walmart is selling the FFg Triple 7 for. If the rifle likes it, I may go back and get what he has left.

You can't go wrong for that price and I personaly like it better than FFg. You get a little more power for your buck.

Why is it.. [:@][:@][:@] I never find that kind of stuff on sale anymore!! I am almost out of the Triple Se7en 3f and my White Ultra Mag loves the stuff. The last pound I bought, they soaked me $28.00 for. I might just have to look on line, find it cheap and buy it by the case..

I'd sure try a pound in your rifle. It might really like the stuff....

Yeah, I was real surprised at the price. The local walmart has the FFG triple 7 marked at $25.99/lb. This place had the FFFG triple 7marked at $18.99/lb. I wanted to hearif it wouldbe worth a try beforepicking up a pound or two.

Wow even $19 is kind of steep for T7. I have paid as much as $22 for it in remote areas but hitting the end of season sales is the best way to stock up on the stuff.

BTW the FFF is great powder you can use it in almost anything. My revolver loves it my Scouts love it My sidelocks love it and my inlines love it. And another cool thing about it the pressures are almost identical to the T7 FF. So it is also safe to shoot in most rifles.

Which fleet farm has it for that price? The closest Fleet Farm to me would be over 130 miles away. So by the time I had gas for the old Ford Truck, well it would be pretty expensive. But I have family that travel the state and I am more then willing to burn their gas and time..
