I guess with all the fuss, you guys convinced me to track down what might be the last laminate White M97ultra mag riflethat Sportsmans Warehouse has. I called a few numbers then one of the sales people found me one in Provo Utah. I think there is a synthetic leftin Phoenix,AZ.Mine had all 3 ignitions and bullets and such. He said the stock had one indentation around the grip area, but he had to look 3 times to see it. I went ahead and got it and its on its way. Did you guys that bought one through the mail get charged tax fromthe store you bought it from, because I did. The rep said they had to in Utah. Just curious. I also got charged twice for the rifleon my card but caught it the same day and called them back. Phew!!! Close one!!! He said he was waiting for me to call back. The 2 charges were a minute apartso my bank released funds from one back to my account without having Sportsmans Warehouse contact them. This is good because it was a Visadebit card and not an actual credit card. Well all worked out ok and the rifle is coming. Cant wait to get it in. I found some of the new winchester triple seven primers in my areaand are interested in trying those too. I got a whole box of the White PowerStar saboted bullets in 320 grain I bought several years backto try in it also. Should be sweet!!!! Thanks for all the great info on this rifle you guys gave and shared with all.

If yours comes with the 209 breech plug with a spring and no cone in the end, just a flat face - you can shoot t7 all day and not get a crud ring, but i know you are the APP man...

A synthetic one in Arizona ... hmmm

I shoot mine with #11 caps and any kind of loose powder I have, stuffed down it. It just shoots great. There is little to no crud ring although with Goex I do get fowling. I was shooting mine yesterday to re-sight in the Nikon Pro Staff. I broke one of my Warne QD rings and had to get another set. Warne replaced them for free by the way. A great company to do business with.



The center part of the target was shot at 25 yards with different powders. I was sighting in the scope, walking it to the center. 70 grains of Goex 3f and Triple Se7en 3f is what I was shooting that day. I sighted it in with 495 .503 No Excuse Conicals and two 1/16th fiber wads.

After I got it sighted in, I moved back to 50 yards to fine tune the scope on the four corner bulls. I was shooting 460 & 500 grain BullShop bullets. I think the scope is pretty close. Tomorrow I will take it back to the 100 yard distance and shoot from there.

I know you're really going to like the rifle. This thing will shoot about anything you shove down the barrel... Good luck with your new rifle.

Yes, I got charged sales tax on all 3 I bought. We have a Sporsman's store here. I would think if they do not have a store in your state then you wouldn't have to pay the tax, but don't know. I got lucky though. The first two, I had transfered to the local store. They were supposed to charge me shipping, but they forgot when I checked out. I realized it when I got home. Oh well. The third one I had shipped to my house. They charged $10 to shipby FedEx. No matter how you look at it, sales tax or not, you got that gun for a steal. That's the way I look at it anyway.

Make sure you get some a those big conicals from the Bull Shop in Alaska. They shoot real good and no swabbing. Dan just sent me a sample today of some he only ran through one sizer instead of two. The previous orders slide down the barrel with almost no pressure, they shot great. They were sized at .5040. The sample that is on the way is sized at .5045. I will let you all know how they load and shoot.

I been thinking about trying some of the 777 in my Knight revolution using the powerstem breech plug with 150 grain charges and the new barnes 290 grain polymer tipped bullets. Ill try the 777 in the White too when I get some. I just got hooked on APP, but im willing to try anything if it can improve the groups or raise velocities(not that I dont already get good results from the APP) and not make cleaning any more difficult.

Just a suggestion, call the Midvale store and have them do a computer search for you... Midvale is the Home Office I believe. By my un-scientific count there should be 2 left in the system someplace & I really thought there was 2 in alaska unless they may have shipped them to the lower 48 - they are getting hard to come buy...

When I checked about 3 weeks ago, there were supposed to be 2 left in Alaska. My local store in Kennewick, WA almost had them both shipped here as I wanted one and I guess they thought they could sell the other. They ended up recommending that I just have the last one sent from Loveland, CO, so I did that.

I really wonder if those guns were actually in Alaska or if they were just in the computer. These guns have been sitting around for awhile and who knows what might have happend. But....it does sound like they are getting hard to find.

Gee, my little sister lives in Anchorage where that store is located. Maybe I should have her go shopping for me..
