Default powerbelt bullets

I am looking at using powerbelt bullets and pyrodex powder pellets in my Traditions E Bolt Muzzleloader for Whitetail deer. Any suggestions for bullet weight and powder recomendations would be appreciated.

I use powerbelts in all three of my end loaders! 2 of which are traditions, 1 an e bolt with a 22" 1:32 twist barrel I use the 245g arrow tip and 100-120g powder 777 works nice. I also have a traditions lightning bolt with a 26" 1:32 twist barrel that gun likes the 295g bullet and 130g of 777. experiment thats the only way to tell for sure end loaders are all diffrent but the powerbelt bullet is about as consistent as they come they shoot well in all my guns. happy hunting

I used the hollowpoint powerbelts this year with 2 50gr powder pellets. It worked great. I took a nice doe with my first and only shot on the second day of blackpowder season. The pellets just drop in and the powerbelt loads easily. It's a great combination.

I use 120 grains of Clean Shot and the 295 grain in my .50. I use the 275-grain in a .45, with 90 grains of Clean Shot.

Keep yore powder dry!!

They shoot pretty good for me out of my CVA with 100 grains of pyrodex pellets.

My son & I just got CVA hunterbolts about a week before season. Tried both the 245 gr and 295 powerbelts with both Pyrodex select and pellets. 245's shot best with 90 gr. loose powder. As I mentioned in another post punching holes in paper and deer are two different things. Sorry to say my son shot a doe and knocked her off her feet with the 245"s, he reloaded and tried to shot her in the head (Mistake) and missed - at about 80-90 yards from a permanent stand. While reloading again she got up and walked away. NO BLOOD. We found about five 1/4" drops of blood, one every 50 - 100 yards, but finally lost her. He thinks he hit another deer that just walked away, again with NO BLOOD. He is now using 320 gr. Maxi's and I am trying the 295 all lead Powerbelts, but haven't had chance to see what they do. Have them touching at 100 Yds - out of a fouled barrel.
