RE: One White Ultra Mag Left

I prefer the laminate stock for looks... I prefer the synthetic stock for hunting. The synthetic is a bit skinnier and a bit lighter and impurvious to weather - but the laminate looks good - most of the guns that I really hunt with centerfire and ML are synthetic. Recoil is really not that bad with either - probably less than a 12 guage with a good hunting load. Try Midvale, Utah they had 4 yesterday - I know two were purchased by cascadedad, but the computer this morning showed that they still had 4. I talked to Bob in Midvale but he was busy and could not confirm what was left in stock. If everything fails call Eric in the Twin Falls store - he was a great help this morning in locating one - they open at 10:00am Mountain Time. I really would get what you can get from what ever store, then keep looking for the piggy backer... Eric said there was some in the Anchorage store but shipping from there to WA might be stiff. I am on the phone right now to Salem, Oregon - trying to get a computer run.... see if I can locate multiple Whites.. Nothing in Oregon or Washigton - according to the computer |
RE: One White Ultra Mag Left
Ok sabotloader, thanks for the information. I too just called the Salem store, but Robert was less than informed- he stated that all stores carried the same manufacturers, etc! I'll start calling again 1st thing in the morning as most of the eastern stores are closed by now.
cheers, phil |

Try Eric in Twin Falls, he was a big help this morning.. Sportsmansstores to call still would be: Grand Junction Midvale Meridian - i tried them tonight also - that was a disconnect signal - soon as some one gets in the store in the morning they will have it fixed... Phoenix - but i think that one might be gone - but ifhe did not step up put the money on the line - it may be on the market again. There are other stores but I left the list on my desk at school - when I get in there tomorrow I will send you what Eric suggested... I still think there 8/10 out there. mike |

RE: One White Ultra Mag Left
Hi Guys,
After more work than I anticipated this morning I've managed to purchase 2ea laminate Ultra Mags from the Midvale, UT store. :D My hunting buddy will be pleased I managed to find one for him too. And thanks to more great advice from this forum, I had Dave/Lee/Bob confirm the Ultra Mag package contents prior to making the purchase - the $299.99 cost and package contents checked out. I couldn't manage to get them to not charge WA state tax though! LOL sabotloader- thanks so much for the helpful information. I did call Eric as suggested and he used the store PC to search all inventory (US wide). By his count there are now 12ea of these rifles left ... but the Sportsmans Warehouse inventory system is a little wonky. I talked to Rick (Meridian ID store) late last nightwho told me he had 1ea laminate in stock and to call this morning to purchase. Inventory search w/ Eric had revealed it to be there, but the followup call this morning turned up blank - its gone someplace. Heheheh. thanks again and cheers, phil |
