RE: TC Omega vs BlackDiamond?
THE REVIEWS I READ ON THE OMEGA IN STAINLESS DO RUST SO DON'T WASTE THE EXTRA BUCKS ON STAINLESS.THE BLACK DIAMOND IS ALSO A GREAT CHOICE BUT I THINK IT THE SAME RIFLE AS MY THUNDERHAWK WITH THE GUN USING THE 209 PRIMER @ A DIFFERENT SAFTEY.RIGHT NOW IF YOU SERCH THE WEB YOU CAN PICK UP A THUNDERHAWK IN 50 OR 54 CAL FOR UNDER $150.00 BUCKS OR CHEAPER THEY ARE CLOSEOUT ITEMS PICK MINE UP LAST YEAR FOR $139.00 IN A 54 CAL.

RE: TC Omega vs BlackDiamond?
I realy like the Omega!! Made my first hunt last weekend with it, in the rain no problem 100 yd. shot took out both shoulders 90lb doe. Cleaning no problem, trigger pull great, balance good and was reloaded very quick. A big differance from the old T/C Hawkens 50.
On the range 100gr. clean shot, 275gr rem. jacketed H/P 1" group at 100yrds. was so impressed I set my feeder 100yrds from my stand.

RE: TC Omega vs BlackDiamond?
Was wondering the same thing! Mounted a scope on my BD last week, had a heck of a time sighting in the scope, due to the free float barrel on the BD,.Cleaning was more time consuming due to the scope.Looking at the Omega, taking out the breech plug would be more simple,(due to the fact I like simple operations)As for the conversion kit from # 11 to a 209 the added length of the 209 nipple would take up a little more space if anything noticeable. Last yr.when elk hunting, I had to replace the alum. exposed cocking lever, sliped on a wet rock ,the lever hit the rock, snapped it right off, luckly I had my Leatherman by my side to cock it back and discharge it at the end if the days hunt,,seating the 209 primer if a quick secound shot ( if any )would be a faster choice on the OmegaAny one looking if a Black Diamond 200.00 $ U.S. dollars
