In most cases a .451 sabot will handle a .452 without a problem. What sabot are you using now to handle your .451's? How do you feel about the effort required to seast this sabot?
finding a good fitting sabot for tight bores will not be a problem soon...

I was shooting 100 grains of t7-2f that day. I did return later and shoot some 110 grain loads. I also recovered the sabots and I have one here in my hand. They do not look stressed all. All the petals are there and the cup has lost it's shine but no real heat problems...
I have included the target....

Were you or are you asking for a link to the bullets... if so
http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/item.asp?sku=000213974
Remember these are .452 with a different HP than the .451's had, but they also have a higher BC.
I can get them a little cheaper at a local vendor but not much....

They still make a 300 grain .451 flat point - sort of like the old 30-30 bullet. It really shoots well for me, but is is not bonded. The few that I recovered from the soft clay bank I shoot into really looked great. Really decent mushrooming and the lead was not stripped from the copper. A friend of mine shot a meduim sized black bear sow with one from a CVA Hawkin last spring and dropped the bear pretty dead. Can not imagine it would not be good for deer class animals.

Speer are pretty standard bullets at my local reloading supply store. FWIW I bought a box of the Nosler 300g .429 hollowpoints and they are just so-so as far as hitting the target. I have no data as to what they do to beasts. These are not the Partitions they are pushing today I would love to try some of them.
Sabotloader have you shot any of them?

I haveshot the 300 grain Nosler Sporting Handgun Bullet. It really did shoot well for me - I shot it early on in my attempt to find the right bullets. I do not remember much information other than they were a great alternative to shooting the 44 cal Partition. I never did hunt with them.
I still have most of the 44 cal partitions I bought, because I made the switch to 45 cal Noslers Partitions.
My experiance with 44's is pretty limited although since I got this Omega I may start experimanting with them again - goodness knows I have a bunch of 44's both Hornady and Noslers sitting here.
