Boy did I get lucky!! I mounted itWednesday night and took it out Sunday to see how much work I had ahead of me. I started out at 25 yrds cause I didnt have a bore sighter.Shots 1 and 2 got anidea made adjustments and then shots 3, 4, 5 cut holes ( I think I settled down a bit, for some reason I get littleexcited shooting the blackpowder the first couple shots). Made one more guesstimate and got it close enough. This was with TC's 240 grn xtp's and 100 grn T7 loose.

Now I only had 4 more bullets left so I thought I better move it out to 50 yrds and see what I had.Got a pretty good groupexcept shot 3 but I think I rushed my shot a bit. But shot 4 was back on.

I still wanna try the Shockwaves and barnes bullets yet. Justfrom all the goodI have read on them. But, so far so good, loving the encore!!

WOW! you must have some gunsmith in your blood.. nice job with the scope. That is really showing some promise in the shooting department.... I think you are going to have a real tack driver with that rifle once you play some more. That is some outstanding shooting at 50 yards.. I would not be upset with any of those hits.. NICE JOB!!

When you try the shockwaves you are going to love them. Got my Encore Christmas and I shot 30 rounds through it, started at 25 yards to hit paper and moved back to 100 yards and raised the crosshair and hit dead on. Was shooting 250 Grain shockwaves. First couple loaded a little tight then the rest just slid in the bore with finger pressure and minimal pressure on the ram rod to get them seated. This was all done with 100 gr. of Pyrodex Pellets. I went up to 150 gr. and it shot 9" high at 100 yards consistantly. So now I have two zero marks on my scope for which ever powder charge I want. gona try loose 777 FFFG next behing the shockwaves, and also want to try some dead center's. Good Job.

Nice shooting; I guess the tweaking you did
with the pipewrench must ofworked.
No seriously thats not bad shooting & some
final adjustments, the shockwaves should cut
the same hole. Good Shooting God Bless

Another happy T. C. shooter. Now wait till you try the shock waves they were made for that gun. I always use loose powder. My wife always said I am a control freak. Mabey she's right but I like the control I get from loose powder over pellets. Mike

rack-n-beards,
When you shoot the Barnes bullets @ 200yds. Your target will look just like the 50yd. target you posted.
My favorite Barnes out of the Encore and Omegais the 285gr. Spit Fire....deadly accurate!

Thanks for all the replies. I cannot wait to get the shockwaves and Barnes shot through it.
Encoreman, I will have to try that load. How much/what kind ofpowder you have behind that?
P.S. How many of you Encore owners got the Bellm trigger job done? I know a few of my shots I found myself sqeezeing, sqeezeing, and haveing to readjust, cause I didnt get the shot off.

rack-n-beards,
The load I've been using in my Encore and Omega is110grs. Triple 7 FFg. Harvestor Crush Rib Sabot and the 285gr Barnes Spit Fire.
Barnes has the new T MZ's coming out soon and I'm looking forward to trying them as soon as I can get my hands on some.
The best thing you can do is try as many combinations you can and see what your Encore likes best.Every ML has a pet load that works the best in itand it's up to you to find it.I save/file most my targets with the load information on them so I can go back and revisit what works and what didn't work.
Have fun!
