OK Omega People - What is?

I also read something about the trigger assembly not coming off... which would make cleaning much easierI suspect. Is this correct?
Here in no where's land where I live we never get to see rifles like that on a store shelf. Well we do, but they are few and far between. Most of the Thompson Center rifles sold around here are all the Encores, top of the line Omega's with Stainless Barrels, Black Diamond XR's and Hawkins with an occasional Renegade on the rack. And their price tags are never reduced like others on this board see from time to time...

Well the recoil lug has two screws way up inside you have to look close to see them, other than that I had to lap mine as it had some burrs in the rifling. The trigger assembly can be taken apart but as the trigger pull on mine was a nice crisp 3 pounds I have not. [If its not broke don't fix it.]
My thoughts are that for $160 its got to be the best buy I ever made. Lee

Z5? Bought it cheap and it has cheap sights. I think the rest of the gun looks the same as other Omegas but have not had a chance to check them out. Heck I have hardly looked at the one I have except to realize how cheap the sights are and I swapped them for the ones on my Encore which is scoped anyways.

The only reason I asked is wal-mart contracted to TC for an Omega that they could saleless expensive than others - so I was trying to find the wal-mart differences if there are any. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will be able to make that comparison, as I broke down and have a Laminated SS Omega coming, probably by wagon train - I hope they do not put it on the boat and send it around the horn....

You Did! Somebody said your arsenal was huge - so you have more toys than I - so Iam trying to catch up.
The worst part the gun is not even leagal in Idaho, actually Idaho, Washington, & Oregon during ML seasons, but since I hunt regular season with a ML -I'll use it then. The revelation came to me last week after I cleaned the A&H.Theoretically the Omega is suppse to be easier to clean, we will see.
