Ok i finally got cleaning stuff and bullets and all that fun stuff. I was gona get Hornady sst 250 grains in 50 cal. They didnt have them but they had the T/C Shockwaves which are same thing but i go them in 200 grains cause thats all they had, and i got some 223 grains 50 cal aerotip powerbelts. Now with the shockwaves how the hell do i put the bullet in the sabot its confusing. And any ides for a replacment ramrod???

The 200 grain Shockwaves come with a blue sabot. The bullet does not appear to fit into the blue sabot all that well, they kind of spread the petals don't they. Well all you can do is dump your powder and put the bullet in the sabot. Then start the sabot into the muzzle.I found you have better results if you use a shock wave loading jag on the head of the short starter and the ramrod.

I just tried the 200gr 50/40 Shock Waves myself I thought the fit was awful, but they shot 7/8 of an inch with 150gr of APP and that means it must be a lot better than it looks. If they do agood job of opening up on deerwith out blowing up Iwill be happy with them.

The same with me lemoyne.. I am not impressed with the fit of the fit of the bullet to sabot, but I sure am impressed with their accuracy. As in another post, if anyone has experience with them VS whitetail, I'd sure like to know about them. I personally think they will flatten one.

Try this post for answers about your replacement or spare ram rod.

I am a little bit reluctant to get involved here because you requested help from Cayugad.
I am going to say I have made these conclusions from your post but I have no way of confirming my beliefs... I believe you are pretty much a rookie at shooting a ML - I was to several years ago and I am still trying to learn more all the time. My next question would be do you have any centerfire experiance?
Here is what I would suggest from the information that you provided in your opening request and assuming that you are a beginner.
You do not say what powder you have but at this point I would say if it is loose powder put it aside for now and get some pellets, I hate pellets but they are a good way to get started- I would recommend some t7 pellets. You haven't mentioned what gun you are using, but if it is capable of shooting 100 grains and you have the gun cleaned abd ready for shootingdrop 2 pellets down the barrel and load the PowerBelts that you pruchased for now. Leave the sabots and bullets out of theequation for now.
The goal here is to get you shooting - shooting at an approved site and shooting safely. When you start shooting you will learn a whole lot in a hurry.
Good luck and I really hope some of this information is informative and helpful.
