I've got one of Cain's Hunter Super Rods in 7/16" diameter. Was setup for .50 cal but I turned down one end to accept a .45 jag. Makes for a very good bench rod.
Don't think you coud tie it in a knot though.

Apparently not if you are offering a challenge - but I wasn't talking about the "super rod" i don't think - I was talking about the "space age" plastic ones that I have. It is called a Rugged Ramrod -- made of "space-age plastic".

Yep, I've noticed that. And no, no challenge offered - just meant the thing is pretty stiff. I've had a couple of those "jelly" rods you were talking about..... HAD being the operative word.
