So basically it's a centerfire without a case. From what I get they are 45 cal guns shooting a jacketed 45 cal bullet. Not a 50 cal shooting a 44/45 sabot like most of us use.

I would have to see one shoot before I paid that kind that kind of money. Seems like a pretty short bullet to have very good ballistics or accuracy at those speeds or long range.

You can't use smokeless powder where I live anyway so it wouldn't do me any good. And I agree, with progression like this I look for new muzzleloading laws to come up. Either doing away with the inlines, or limiting the amount and type of powder you can use.

My 300 Weatherby will only hold about 88 grains of smokelesspowder. I can't imagine 140 grains. That might even bemore than the 50 BMG. That's gotta' kick like a sunafabitch!!!

IMR 4350 by the bottlefull! This stretches my definition of a "muzzle-loader", and certainly reduces the challenge of MLshooting! I guess Bad Bullsdoesn't make a flintlock..... (*There must be a hidden message in that name "Bad Bull(s) !!)

Hmmm.... 300 grain bullet, MV 2900 FPS, 140 grains of powder in a 9-pound rifle. Recoil = 82 foot-pounds!

I'm trying to figure out just how they get a .45 caliber jacket bullet down the barrel of a .45 caliber muzzleloader without using a hammer. Must be one of those deals like the Powerbelt, where the bullet upsets to fill the lands/grooves - which would have to be oversize.Certainly plenty of heat and pressure to accomplish this.
