Default New Hunter

I have just gotten started with hunting thanks to a couple of enthusiastic co-workers. I went out and found a beautiful T/C Hawken .50 cal and am now waiting for turkey and deer seasons to open here in Virginia. I just wondered if there is any advice or ideas that others might have especially since I insist on keeping it "traditional"
