RE: Pictures of you rifle
It's not worth much at long range, but for clearing out a deer infested building nothing can match it.

RE: Pictures of you rifle
Way back there Encoreman asked me about loads for my G2. Far and away the most comfortable loadI shoot is 65 grains weighed FFg T7 under a 180 grain XTP in a tan sabot. The same charge under a 200 grain XTP does well also but adds a bit of rearward and upwardpunch. The 275 grain Powerbelts shot over that same charge start to get uncomfortable especially when I pop myself in the nose with my thumb [:-]. All three loads have shot quite well for me with groups in the 1.5" range. The 180 XTP load may sound too light for hunting but most certainly does the job on whitetail.
The little Millett variable scope that now resideson that G2 has saved me from seeing a lot of stars. Some super nice looking rifles in this thread! That flinter of roundball's almost makes me want one. |

Hairtrigger.. what caliber and kind of rifle is that bottom rifle. It looks almost like an underhammer but I can not see for sure. Its a nice looking rifle and looks like it must be a large caliber... Just interested is all...

RE: Pictures of your rifle
Looks like a Hi-Wall to me ? ? Cartridge gun ah'm thinkin', maybe a .45-XX X?. Sure would like it if someone produced an inline using that action.
Oh looky! :D Ah got into his stash of pics That's a nice looking rifle! Could be an Uberti but most of those I've seen have case hardened receivers. Might also be by Winchester or Browning - either way I don't think I'll find one in my local gunshop. I keep voting forWinchester to produce one asa muzzleloader. http://www.winchesterguns.com/ |

RE: Pictures of your rifle
Ozone Ranger,
I named my son Jeremiah John. My 1st name is John, so that's where the "Jeremiah John's son" comes in. Right after he was born, I purchasedthe VHS video (no DVD's at this time)of the movie and a .22cal. Chipmunk rifle. He is now an Army Airborne Ranger and is doing a 2nd tour in Afghanistan. The rifle looks like my Browning High Wall I have at home in 45-70. I'm going to check tonight when I get home. |

Here is my BPcollection.
When I go hunting I usually take the T/C .45 Cal. I guess it's because it's the first BP gun I purchased, and I took my first deer with it. The rest I just shoot for pleasure mostly. |
