I am sure there is a way, but I am not sure I would. It could effect the spring on your hammer. Have you considered a musket nipple? They have 10 times the fire of a #11 cap and when igniting loose powder will really get the job done.

Thompson Center offers a kit that will allow you to shoot 209 primers out of your Firehawk. Ipurchased 2 of these kits for the T/C Thunderhawk and it's a simple conversion you can do yourself.The kit is fairly expensive, but every now and then you can find them on ebay.
