The "Longhunter's Record Book" of course was established by traditional minded "longhunters" enthusiasts using traditional equipment because again, when the record book was established modern inline muzzleloaders were not part of the muzzleloading world.. I do agree with Roundball on one point. I do not feel that modern inline rifles should be included in the same record as a traditional rifle. I see no problem with having a seperate catagory for the modern inline rifle. Also the addition of a scope should put that into again a different catagory. I do not mean to take anything away from the accomplishments of anyone, only that there is a true difference in the manner in which the a record animal is taken when you talk traditional rifle, scoped in line, or unscoped inline. Other then that I do not think anything as far as the record is tainted if a seperation was made. |
