Most Accurate Sabot in Encore?
What are you guys shooting in your Encores for deer?
I'm shooting the 250 gr.T/C XTP with 100 grains 777. I'd like to go with any of the Barnesbullets, but I didn't have good results with the MZ in 300 gr or the Spitfire in 285gr.
Just the other day, I sent my Encore off for a Bellm trigger job and oversized hinge pin. Should tighten up the groups somewhat.

Ditto that, I also shoot the 250gr T/C Shockwaves. They group nicely for me. (100gr pyro)
ORIGINAL: Roskoe
Try one of the T/C Shockwave's - either 250 or 200 for deer. They seem to shoot well in Encore's and are great deer slayers.

200 grain T/C Shockwaves with 130 grains of Pyrodex pellets.
You will really like the Bellm oversize hinge pin. It tightened my groups up considerably. Also look into replacing the lockup springs with the heavier Bellm springs. You will need one for each barrel you own.
Good Luck

I also shoot shockwaves--250 gr over 95 gr of clear shot powder.
These sabots are a good buy for the money as well as T/C cheapshots--240 gr. I took a doe last year with a cheapshot-broke her spine and did its job. These are a good practice sabot whose performance will be close to a 250 gr projectile.

I shoot the Banes 245 grain spitfire, with 100gr. T7 pellets. Zeroed at 100 yards four touching in the bull. Barnes offer excellant weight retention100% due to there solid copper bullet. Barnes bullets offera unique capability that most others do not with there spitfire line however, the spitfire is designed to open into six razor pedals when filled with fluid. This means honey hole type shots our ideal. The boattail design gives this bullet an excellant down range flat shooting charactericts. Unlike the more common expanders line (large hollow point) the spitfire will not open over the least little thing. This maybe an advantage or disadvantage for you depending on where you hunt. Here in Ohio I get a little of both, brush and long distant shots. I love the barnes spitfire in the T/C Encore. Most T/C like them due to there tighter bore sizes. Just my take.
