T7, WH, lighten up a bit man this site is for fun and knowledge. WH seemed not to know the charictoristics of T7 and went a bit far but you (T7) went off like a roman candle.

I bet both of you could change your posts to make this work friendly.:D

Is promoting safety going too far? If I could misread his post any newbie could also.

As for Triple Seven (the powder), the reasonFFFG gets higher velocity is because it burns faster and creates a higher initial pressure spike while FFG burns slower and doesn't haveas higha pressure spike. It's the pressure spike which is important. That's where guns fail as the high pressure is at the breech. I wish I had some pressure graphs to illustrate this.

At issue is this: I havea pound of777 fffg powder and would like to use it if possible during hunting season, however I've read that such a fine grain powder might not be a wise choice with the heavier .50 bore sabots. Any input/recommendations would be greatly appreciated
Ok. How is it off topic?

You are right worrying about saftey WH but check the data on the website or try it your self.

The same 100g load of T7FF will shoot almost identical to a same sized FFF load.

I've used 90 grains Triple 7 in FF and FFF with 240 grain sabots in my Knight Woverine and the only difference I can see is that the FFF burns a little bit cleaner leaving less residue in my barrel. Mine uses #11 ignition.

One, the poster could probably care less about CVA's cause he shoots a Wolverine. I mean, If said, boy, I am having troulble getting my rem700 30-06 to shoot high pressure loads, and another guy came on saying, "you know that load may not be save in all guns don't ya", then its like "really" in a real sarcastic way.
