Default REMINGTON 209 CLEAN PRIMERS

I got my new cabela's catalog and noticed that remington is making a new 209 for muzzleloaders. It's supposed to be much cleaner.Anyone tried these yet.

Thanks

They are on sale for $5.99 at some Wal Marts according to a post I read today... Check your local one and see what you got...

I just purchased some from Walmart and am going to go out and test them on Friday.
Will post results -I hope that it helps reduce the crud ring that I get in the Omega and 209X50 encore.

I bought some from the Wal-Mart here, so they are out. Gonna try to work up my load for the season soon.

People testing the new primers, it's real important that you keep the others informed of your results. Some of us unlucky people live in backwoods areas where such a convience will probably take years to show up here. But if we learn through you, that they are worth the extra money and effort to obtain them, then perhaps on some of our next online orders we can take advantage of your knowledge and get some for ourselves...

So keep that information coming....

Hey Cayugad,

I recently picked up 500 of the new Rem Kleenbore primers from Wallyworld. Hopefully will be making a few bark this weekend or next week.

According to the marketing speak, these are supposed to be like better than 20 times cleaner than the 209's we are all shooting now.

Well see and will post what happens.

Have been waiting to hear how the Kleenbores perform - just starting out and am considering using 777 or pyrodex pellets in my Tradition LT. Would probably go with the 777's if the new primers help with the crud buildup I've heard about. Not too sure of their availability here in Manitoba.
Look forward to your report, Tahquamenon, and those of any other members who have tried these primers.

I've recently been informed by my manager of after work entertainmentthat I am taking a mini-family vacation this weekend instead of goofing off at my range playing with these primers and other ML toys. []

I'm going to shoot some of theRem Kleenbores tonightalong with the WIN 209's to compare just how clean they are. I can make some range time early next week to run some live loads.

Don't you just hate when the boss catches you sneaking out the door and tells you that you are not finished with duties... That's when I look them in the eye and tell them "I Quit!!" Kidding of course. I will be looking forward to how well they work for you...
