RE: scopes for my muzzleloader

The Simmons Pro 50 3x9x50 is a very nice scope for around $150 (if I remember correctly). The 50 objective gives me 15+- minutes addt'l shooting time at dawn/dusk when sitting in woods. Originaly put it on a T/C .50.

BTW - I've shot enough handguns to know better - But - as stupidity goes about 5-6 yrs ago while shooting my sons S&W 44 mag in an indoor shooting range I got bit/split open by the hammer when I pulled gun to close to acquire target thru red dot scope. Thought I was a dead man for split second. busted me open right between the eyes but Good! I taped it up at range and felt like a real Dumb Ass. It was a bit comforting to hear the range master say I wasn't the only one that had happened to.

I have a Nikon Prostaff 4x on my T/C Omega. I have a 3x9, but never went up much past 4 or 5 w/ it....
