Traditional or in-line? Pedersoli has a new Hawken out thats a beautiful factory rifle in the $800 range and Lyman has the Great Plains Rifle in the $400 range that is a fine rifle.

Knight Disc Elite, TC Encore, TC Omega, Savage Smokeless, all great for modern guns.

Lyman great plains, TC hawken all wonderful for a more traditional feel.

Your the boss, and its your money. It all in what you want. Probably need to add a tad more of an explanation.

Another question you need to find out about is, are there any rifle restrictions in your area reference, scopes, projectiles, ignitions, pellets or loose powder... Also what are you going to use the rifle for, whitetail, target shooting, elk, moose, etc...

All of this would determine for me the kind of rifle I would pick. Black Powder rifles are like cars kind of. Everyone has their favorite model. Some like the cheaper model that are easy on the pocket book which is not your case, some like the sports models, other the big SUV's. In Rifles, some like Traditional rifles, others inlines. Some like big bore rifles, other go for the flat shooting kind...

What, where, how and with what projectiles, as accessorises being use, do you want to hunt?

Bigcountry has given you a list of the cream of the crop. You won't go wrong with any of the modern inlines listed above! Good luck!
