It's less forgiving then pyrodex? Yes it is. How much? Are you meaning how long can I go before I have to clean my gun and start to worry about it? Well if I shoot it I clean it, no matter what kind of powder I am shooting.

All these powders, no matter what they advertise will sooner or later start to work into the metal of your rifle. The question is how long do I have? That question is effected by, What kind of humidity do you have there? What kind of temps? Do you swab between shots? How many times did you shoot that day?

I'm not going to say, go ahead and shoot T-7 and then not clean your rifle for three days. What I will say is, its your rifle, do what you like. If it were my rifle, I'd clean it if I shot it, no matter what.

I posed this question to one of the technicians at Hodgdon a few years back. He indicated that, although the visible crud is a lot less and it is water soluable, Triple 7 is every bit as corrosive as Pyrodex if left in your barrel.

Thanks, I clean my rifle after I shoot it, but I wanted to know how corrosive it really is.

An oldgunsmith I know say's this: "It's powder."
So take that for what it's worth. Shoot then clean.

Triple 7 is every bit as corrosive as Pyrodex if left in your barrel.... just takes longer for the corrosion todo the damage Pyrodex does. I've gone two weeks without cleaning my 777 fouled barrel.... an aftermath of several shotswith anice weather pattern.... then kept the rifle in an air-tight,foam, hard-shellcarry gun case.

The longest I would trust my Pyrodex-fouled barrel under the same conditions was three days.
