Default A Cheap & Useful Ingot Mold For Lead

If you process bulk lead you need an ingot mold to cast small ingots for later use. Commercial ingot molds are available from Lyman and RCBS for about $12 to $18.

Some use old muffin tins for ingots, or those cast iron "ear of corn" shaped baking pans, or similar items.

A mold that works for me was made by welding small sections of angle iron. One can be made for any size ingot you want. This one was made from the angle iron of an old bed frame. Each six-inch long ingot weighs about a pound and a half.

They stack real nice too.
