4 Days and the bears are showing up
#1
I have had my bear bait set up for 4 days and decided to go check on it. I found about 6 loafs of bread eaten. And I also found the sardine cans chewed on and the sardines were gone. The one tree that had the sardines is all clawed up and the licking tree has been hit. I stocked up some more bread and sweets and spread grease all over the bread and the ground. I am heading in on friday and will hang some more sardines and put out the twinkies and zingers. I will give it a try on saturday to sit all day and see what arrives. Let the games begin.

Well, I checked the bait again and those buggers picked through and ate all the bagels and sweets. They also ate the mutton that I left. All the grease was gone so I would bet that they are not having any problems dropping stools. I will definately hit the spot on Saturday. I can't wait to see what comes in. Anyone know of any good books????
idahoelkinstuctor, I got your PM but was in a big hurry when I got it. No rest for the wicked. I foresee many late nights through bear season.

Sounds like you found a good spot. It is funny how the root through and find certain items to key on!
Best of luck on the weekend and keep the ears on for the SNAP!

skeeter. Thanks for the words or encouragement. I bought a trail cam tonight and maybe I will be able to post some pics if I get some. Something tells me that I will go through alot of film if this keeps up. I am going to pack more bait in with me in the morning, but will set it off to the side and just hang some sardines in the tree next to the bait. I plan on whacking one with my bow when it climbs up to get the sardines. This should give me a great time to pull back the bow in my blind. I will keep you all posted on this weekends events.
