Either/Or. Since I get more elk than moose than I say moose. How could you be wrong either way ? Now a dang ole bear would be a different story. Bobby

I've had an elk roast once and it was incredible. Never had moose though.

I find elk to have more flavour, where the moose is very mild, so for steaks I prefer elk. However ground I actually prefer moose b/c of that milder flavour. They are both good in my books and I have only had one of each species that wasn't pure heaven!

I agree hunting Elk is awesome, however if your lucky enough to hunt moose during heavy call they are a real treat and thrill to pursue as well.

I've never ate or hunted elk but I'm sure the elk hunt is better. There is something to be said for breathing thin air and chasing an animal as majestic as an elk. MMMmmmmm, Some day.

Personally I have never had either,but I really want to hunt a trophy moose someday.My dad's dream is to go elk hunting.I have a lawsuit in the works from a bad accident so i hope to make my dad's dream come true before he dies.His would come first and then mine.

Elk is better

Both taste great. I find Elk more of a challenge mostly due to the terrain.
