Default OW's BC Life-size Bear Mount

Just got my life-size BC bear mount from the 2003 soring hunt and took a couple quickie photos of it.

Marc Plunkett at Wildlife Creations in Phoenix, Ariz. did the bear and landscape. I built the roll-around wooden base, which matches the trim, tables and cabinets in my trophy room. -TONY

And a closer look:

Very good looking mount. I have a splendid Bear Rug that I had made. I have to leave it at my daughters because I don't have room for it in out apartment. I took a 550 lb Bear in Northern Sask. several years ago. Agint thats a fine trophy and you should be proud. Good luck on your next hunt.

I'll cover several replies here.

First, thanks to all for the comments.

charlie brown.

There are a bunch of photos of my trophy room in the Outdoor Writer's Room Today thread. They were all taken before I got my stuff from Africa and the bear mount back, however. If you're on a dial-up connection, it will likely take a while to load.

James B,

A 550 lb. black bear is a monster. We didn't have a scale to weigh mine, but we guessed it was between 300-350. The largest one I've killed is pictured below. It came from within a 1/2 mile of where I shot the reddish one, and I killed a second one on that trip that was also larger than the red one. The rug on the wall was an AZ bear from the late 1960s.

PLB,

I live in Glendale. -TONY
