maine moose hunting
im about to fill out for my moose permit i would like to know if anyone can give me some ideas as to a good place to put down for my choice of zone should i get drawn for a permit and also an area to go scout around before season opens i want to try a unguided hunt with me and my father

Like Quilly said chances are slim, but if you do get picked you have a very good chace of getting one. My dad finally got a permit after 20 years and he shot one. And my uncle never got a permit, he just shot two moose because he was the subpermit holder. Since I'm a resident I am filling applications for other people that will want to come and putting either my, my bro, my dad, or my uncle and if they get picked all they will have to do is come and we could shoot for them. Good luck! But you better not shoot my B&Y moose, he has my name written all over him! Just kiddin'.
