Big (and Beautiful) Ram

Here is a link to a hiking site that I look at every now and then. These rams call Lamoille Canyon home, in the Ruby Mountains of Nevada, just a few miles from my home. Thought everybody would enjoy the pictures.

Ummm, I think you might want to ask some others on what is is like to hunt sheep and goats. I have only seen a few, but have never actually put a stock on a mature ram. I know the concept is pretty straight forward. Glass like crazy, spot a ram, and figure out how to get higher than he is or in a position that he cannot see you and get a shot at him. Keep in mind that these pics (the ones in the link) were taken in April. The others were taken in late October or early November after the hunt was over, so they were surely not very skittish then.

Nice charlie, I'm from carlin. Merlin - I havent hunted sheep , but everything ive heard say medium flat shooting calibersare best(270,25-06,280,284,ect)From what I've read your 308 might put you at a disadvantage in terms of range(unless your a military sniper).
