Colorado Bob,
Not trying to be to presumptuous here, but I also am pondering either an "up north" moose hunt or caribou hunt. Accuratereloading.com had a good write up under "Canadian Hunting" regarding Nouchimi Camp and it sounded like an interesting adventure, especially the part that it is essentially an unguided hunt with high probability of tagging out. I figured 2300 miles one way from Denver with 500 miles or so of running around when you get there. Two things came to mind, (1) the cost can be reduced by increased numbers (of compatible hunters) and (2) two vehicles are better than one when you are in the middle of no where.
As I have pondered how I would put together a group crazy enough to do a "forced march" over that kind of distance, I noticed your interest and your location -- not many of us out this way that are "game for it."
Not inviting myself along in anyway, in fact 2005 or 2006 would probably be more my speed since I have standing obligations for Elk Camp 2004 (but sometimes that ebbs a bit in March); however, most of the posts I've read show it is mostly an "eastern USA/Canada thing" (the Nouchimi Trip) without a whole lot of westerners going for it for obvious reasons (distance). Drop me a line if you want to "kick it around" a bit.
